Seminar Features

Modular and Flexible
The Citizen Leader Seminars can be conducted either alone or in combination. Each is a stand-alone seminar lasting approximately six hours. This allows you to conduct a single seminar, multiple seminars over a number of days, or a curriculum of seminars over time. You choose the seminars that will help you to meet your learning objectives. We will provide an agenda to guide the timing and facilitation of the seminars.

Practical and Repeatable Application
Each of the seminars provides a practical framework for real-time application to a tangible current issue, initiative or problem.

Peer Support
Participants will form Peer Support Groups to share insights and practice new behaviors in a safe environment, with the intent of enhancing the learning for all.

Multiple Audiences
The Citizen Leader Seminars can be conducted equally effectively for both intact groups or groups of individuals from across the organization and community.

Pre-Seminar Assignment
Each participant receives a pre-seminar assignment to prepare in advance of each seminar. The assignment encourages the participants to choose a real-time issue, initiative or problem to work on during the seminar. Ideally, each participant will have a conversation with their leaders, their peers or other members of their organization prior to attending The Citizen Leader Seminars to agree on the issue that they will tackle, and after the completion of the seminar, debrief with those colleagues.

Application Guide
Following the seminar, each participant receives a pdf file containing each of the frameworks that has been taught and used during the session. Our agreement with our clients allows the participants to print the frameworks, so they may apply them regularly.

Leadership Behaviors Assessment Tool
We give you the option to gather and receive confidential 360° feedback from the individuals with whom you work and collaborate on their perception of your leadership behaviors in each of the roles that you will examine in The Citizen Leader Seminars. We make available the world-class Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI). The results are confidential and available only to you, the participant. You may also ask to receive private one-on-one coaching and objective insight on your feedback during the seminar.

Facilitator Development and Certification
We encourage our clients to develop the skills of in-house individuals to facilitate The Citizen Leader Seminars. At our clients’ request, we will conduct a rigorous and thorough facilitator training, and provide a Citizen Leader Seminars: Facilitator Guide.
